母亲董孝梅是一位典型的中国知识女性，美丽、智慧、善良、慈祥。生于1916年7月15日
，因年老体衰，不幸于2001年11月20日去世，享年85岁。
由于父亲的过早去世，她用智慧与毅力挑起了养育家庭的重担。家庭中物质上虽然艰辛，
但精神食粮一直是很丰富的。在她的言传身教之下，六个子女都得到了高等教育的培养，成为
建设国家的有用人才。这一点一直是她引以自豪的。
晚年她不顾年老，积极参与各种社会活动，为文史馆提供她经历的史料。为祖国的早日统
一，贡献自己的力量。
